Beginners Clay Hand-Building Workshops
Get your hands dirty at our beginners' clay hand-building workshops - held in partnership with the Quarry Arts Centre. Take part in either a kids or adults workshop to learn different methods and techniques for working with one of the oldest human materials.
Adult Workshops:
An experienced Quarry Arts Centre tutor will teach you how to prepare and use clay, different hand working methods and joining techniques, create slabs and use moulds. Anabelle will discuss good studio practice, how to look after your work. $40 per person. Includes portions of clay and bisque firing.
Suitable 16 years* and older. Students 16-17 years may join the workshop with a participating parent/guardian.
Kid’s Workshops:
An experienced Quarry Arts Centre tutor will guide the children through this 60-90 minute immersive hands on experience. $25 per child. Includes portions of clay and bisque firing.
Suitable for ages 4 – 17
Parents or caregivers are required to remain with students
Parents or caregivers are welcome to join in the fun ($25 per adult)
